A white marble bench is a span before it is a carving, and the two numbers that decide whether it survives a garden are not in the photograph: the section of the seat against the distance between its supports, and the weight the supports actually place on the ground. A white marble bench in this range is carved from natural white marble, with Chinese white marble as the standard grade and Italian Bianco Carrara or Vietnamese crystal white quoted as alternatives, and the set is a seat with two carved supports carrying winged lion armrests, deep relief grapevine and garland work, fluted columns and a carved crest where the drawing asks for one. Every set is checked against the span rather than against the drawing dimensions alone, because the seat is a beam and 8 to 20 MPa of flexural strength is the number that decides whether it carries two people or three.
The bearing the lions actually stand on
he carved supports are the structure, so the bearing area under each foot is measured and marked on the drawing, and the pads are cut flat to sit on a compacted or paved base rather than into grass or soil.
The carving, where the damage lands
A lion's muzzle, paw and mane, and the undercut beneath a garland or a scroll, are the parts that chip, so each is checked under a raking light before the set is crated and any piece with a feathered or thin undercut is reworked.
Weathering, the drip arris and the crate

Will a white marble bench survive frost and acid rain outdoors?
It will weather. Calcite, Mohs 3 to 4, etches under acid rain and spalls at the edge in freeze-thaw, so an outdoor seat is honed, sealed and drained on a drip arris. Sealing slows that, it does not stop it.
Do the carved lion supports carry the seat or are they decoration?
