Product Introduction

Giallo San Francisco is an imported yellow granite from Brazil, sold in the trade as Amarelo San Francesco, Amarelo San Francisco and San Francisco Yellow, and it is bought as a block and re-sawn rather than pulled from a quarry this factory owns. That distinction shapes everything a buyer should ask about the material: because there is no pit behind the name, what can be guaranteed is not the mountain but the particular block, the figure direction it was cut on, and the readings taken from it before the crates closed.
It is worth separating this stone from G682 clearly, because the two get swapped constantly and they are not interchangeable. G682 is a Chinese yellow granite quarried in Shandong, and this site sells it under its own page and its own figures.

Quality Standards
Quality Control & Inspection Standards
YoYo Stone enforces a rigorous six-stage quality verification protocol for every commercial production run of G655 Granite:
Papers Matched To Block
The block's import documents and yard number are matched and logged against the cutting list before sawing, since with no owned quarry behind this material the paper trail is the only provenance a receiving inspector can check.
01
Figure Direction Logged
Because the yellow figure flows rather than speckles, the cut axis relative to the tile edge is fixed on the shop drawing and recorded, so a following order is cut the same way round as the one it has to match.
02
Yellow Read Wet And Dry
Every block face is read wet and again after it has dried, with both readings entered on the block card, because yellow granite moves further between those two states than any other family this works cuts.
03
Iron Contact Traced First
A rust mark on a yellow face is traced to whatever ferrous item touched the stone before it is accepted as a mineral inclusion, since banding, staples and dunnage nails each leave a trail that starts at the contact point.
04
Light Source Named
The first lot is approved under a stated colour temperature and that figure goes on the file, because the same tile reads as two different yellows under a warm shop fitting and a cool facade uplight.
05
Products Application
Typical Project & Application Scenarios

Villa Facades and Interior Feature Walls
A warm yellow granite is usually specified on a facade for the way it holds colour at the end of the day, and that is exactly the condition an approval has to be made under rather than in a north-facing office. Cladding is quoted in honed or flamed at 20 or 30 mm for a ventilated cavity and in 15 or 18 mm where a bonded system carries the weight, and the figure direction is set on the elevation before cutting so the vein on each panel runs the same way up the wall.
Because the material is a Brazilian import, the block is selected and photographed at landing, which means a repeat phase can be drawn against the same block rather than against the same name. Interior feature walls are drawn from the same landing lot as the facade, so the inside and the outside of a villa do not read as two yellows.
Hotel Floors and Lift Lobbies
A hotel floor in yellow granite is a durability specification with a colour rider, because the stone has to survive luggage wheels and cleaning chemicals while still matching the lobby it opens into. Tiles go down flamed or honed, 10 or 20 mm thick, on a rigid bed, and the iron question matters more here than anywhere else in the building, because a trolley wheel or a steel door stop resting on the floor leaves a rust mark that is read as a defect in the stone.
Under artificial light the colour temperature of the lobby is named on the approval, and where the same stone runs from a daylit lift lobby into an artificially lit corridor, the two readings are taken on site and recorded before the tiles are fixed.

FAQ
Everything You Want To Know
01. Is Giallo San Francisco the same as G682 granite?
No. G682 is a Chinese yellow granite from Shandong and Giallo San Francisco is an imported Brazilian yellow with a different ground and figure. They are quoted separately, and a specification naming one is not filled with the other.
02. How do you control shade across a large phased order?
03. How much Giallo San Francisco fits in a 20ft container?
04. Will the yellow change colour after installation?
05. What thickness tolerance applies to these tiles?
Minus two millimetres or plus one on thickness, plus or minus one millimetre on the diagonal, 0.3 mm on flatness and 0.5 mm on adjacent edge verticality, all checked piece by piece and cut on infrared bridge saws.
