Product Introduction
The name is Brazilian and the stone is Chinese, and that gap is the first thing a buyer of China Juparana has to close. Juparana is named after Juparana Lake in Brazil, where the Juparanà granites are quarried in the Espírito Santo basins; Indian Juparana is a pink granite from the Ramanagara district of Karnataka; China Juparana is a grey granite quarried in China. One trade name covers three materials from three continents, and a buyer who reaches a China stone factory with only the name on the enquiry can be quoted any of them.
So this page is built around identity rather than around colour. The material is a fine to medium-grained grey granite carrying pink and white swirl, traded as China Juparana, Juparana China, China Juparana Grey, China Multicolour Grain and Dragon Juparana, and the specification that holds is the approved sample plus the layout set, not the name on the invoice. Density records at 2.82 g/cm³, which is mid-band for a Chinese grey and slightly above the 2.70 recorded for G603 and G654 in our own granite table.

Flooring, Paving and Kerb Runs
The largest use of China Juparana is ground-level grey work: interior floor tiles, external paving, kerb, step and threshold runs, and pool surrounds.
Low abrasion loss keeps the face through a commercial entrance, and absorption under 0.20% means frost movement does not spall the surface in a freeze-thaw climate.
Tiles are gauged as a set so the joints stay flush, and where the paving and the kerbs come from the same lot the grey stays continuous from the carriageway to the building.
Kitchen countertops and vanity tops
The same lot is cut into countertops and vanity tops, into wall cladding panels and into monumental pieces, because the swirl makes a large panel read as one sheet rather than as a flat grey.
Countertops are laminated to a 40 mm read where the drawing calls for it, with sink and hob apertures reinforced and drilled before the face is polished. Cladding panels can be laid swirl-matched across a wall, and window sills, skirtings and capping are cut from the same lot so nothing on the elevation drifts a shade.
