Product Introduction

Brazil Gold is a Brazilian granite with a warm gold field carrying dark brown, black and white flecks, and it is one of the few warm-toned stones that behaves like a granite rather than a marble in service: acid does not touch it, and it will take a polished face or a flamed one without losing its colour. The block is bought in Brazil and the formats below are cut to your drawings rather than to a catalogue size.
The name is the first problem a buyer meets. The same material travels as Granite Solarius, Ouro Brasil, Amarelo Brasil, New Venetian Gold and Gold Brasil, and traders do not always apply those names to the same block. A China stone factory quoting "Brazil Gold" may be quoting a warmer or paler stone than the sample you approved, so the approved slab and the layout set are the only specification that holds.

Quality Standards
Quality Control & Inspection Standards
A gold granite fails in a way a black one cannot, because the fault is a shift in hue rather than a visible defect, and it appears only once the pieces are together.
Layout Set First
Pieces are dry-laid in installation order before packing, because shade drift on a gold granite only becomes visible between neighbours.
01
Project Light Temperature
The layout is read under the project's own colour temperature, since warm and cool light move a gold field in opposite directions.
02
Fissure and Resin Read
Filled fissures and any resin work are inspected on the polished face, where on a warm background a patch reads as a paler line.
03
Crate Build and Strapping
Crates go out fumigated to ISPM 15, foam faced and steel strapped, with the layout photographs filed against the packing list.
04
Book-Match Sequence Verification
Consecutive slabs intended for continuous vein patterns are laid out and numbered in sequence to ensure directional flow remains uninterrupted across large surfaces.

Products Application
Typical Project & Application Scenarios

Countertops, Islands and Interior Floors
Brazil Gold carries a warm gold field against white, cream or oak cabinetry without the yellow cast a beige granite throws, and one run supplies the tops, the splash, the thresholds and the skirtings so a room closes on a single tone.
Tops are cut to your cabinet plan, laminated to a 40 mm read where the drawing calls for it, and drilled for sinks and hobs before the face is polished, which is the order that matters because an aperture cut after polishing cannot be brought back. Honed is the finish quoted for a working kitchen and polished for an island that is meant to be seen, since a polished gold face records handling marks sooner than a matte one.
Stairs, Pool Coping and External Paving
A granite top at 20mm or 30mm with the sink cut on a machine and the edges profiled, sealed at fabrication, in a stone that acid leaves alone. At 30mm the stone alone runs about 83kg per square metre, which the carcass, the brackets and the delivery all have to be planned for rather than discovered on site.
The cutout edge is the one place on a countertop where water reaches unsealed stone and sits there, so on a white granite that edge and the underside around it are sealed at fabrication, and the fixings in a vanity or a wet run are stainless or non-ferrous.

FAQ
Everything You Want To Know

01. How do you control shade across batches of Brazil Gold granite?
Grading is done on a layout set rather than on single slabs, because the variable in this material is hue, not pattern. We reserve blocks for the run, photograph every layout before packing and hold a reference set for repeat orders. Where an order exceeds one block run, both sets are laid out together for your approval.
02. Does Brazil Gold granite need sealing, and how does it handle frost and oil?
03. What container load should we plan for a Brazil Gold slab order?
04. Is Brazil Gold the same stone as New Venetian Gold or Ouro Brasil?
05. How does Brazil Gold differ from Chinese gold granite such as Golden Sesame?
Origin and cost base differ. Brazil Gold is a Brazilian granite with a warmer gold field and larger flecks; Golden Sesame is quarried in China with a lighter, finer yellow grain at a lower cost per square metre. Both are granites and both fabricate the same way, so the choice comes down to pattern and budget.
